Our speakers, Dr's. Michael and Mary Shapiro have been clinical psychologists for over 30 years. They have lectured extensively, both domestically and abroad, on topics related to parenting, marriage, and mental health issues in the context of Christianity and the Bible. Mike also serves as an elder in the Athens Church of Christ. Mike and Mary have been married for 30 years and have three grown children, all of whom are disciples. They have authored two publications for DPI: "Rejoice Always, a Manual for Christians Facing Emotional Challenges" and "Childhood Sexuality: How to be Proactive in Educating and Protecting your Children."
Cost is only $20 a couple and $10 per single

11:00am Communication and Character (about...well...communicating and building character)

2:00pm Biblical Discipline (Discuss issues like corporal punishment and best practices for discipline at home).
3:30pm Parenting Teens and Avoiding the Pitfalls of the World (social media, video games, etc.).
