Meet the Speakers

Chip and Ruby Mitchell bring decades of ministry experience, leadership, and a deep heart for marriages and families.

Chip Mitchell became a Christian at the University of Massachusetts in 1986, where he competed as a two-sport varsity athlete while earning a B.S. in Sport Management. During his college years, he was deeply impacted by the campus ministry of the Springfield Church of Christ—an experience that helped shape his lifelong calling to ministry.

Following graduation, Chip worked as a Major Accounts District Manager for a Fortune 500 company in Hartford, Connecticut, specializing in payroll, human resources, tax filing, and unemployment management services. In 1993, he stepped out in faith to pursue his long-held dream of serving full-time in ministry.

Chip married the love of his life, Ruby Mitchell, in 1996. Ruby is a graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in Communications. She became a Christian in New York City in 1986 and later served on the mission team that helped plant the Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ.

Together, Chip and Ruby are the proud parents of two children, Alonzo and Camri, and have faithfully served in a wide range of ministry roles throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic region for more than two decades.

Chip currently serves as an Evangelist for the Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ. Though Ruby is now retired from full-time vocational ministry, she continues to serve in a volunteer capacity throughout Philadelphia and the ACR, offering wisdom, experience, and a deep heart for strengthening women, families, and church leadership.
