Join the fathers and sons of the Hampton Roads Church for an unforgettable night under the stars at Newport News Park, Newport News Sept 19-21.

Just $17.50 per person to make a memory with your son (or sons!).

The Fathers and Sons of Hampton Roads Church are gathering for a weekend under the stars at Newport News Park in Newport News, VA on September 19th to 21st. You can check into our site as early as 4pm on Friday. There is no rush if you just want to come up Saturday morning. We are going lax this year so you can enjoy some time with your son(s). 

There are activities for all ages of dads and sons. Showers, bathrooms and playground near site.

Group site is 40 people only. Last 2 years we were just about at max capacity. So please register early.

Saturday evening will feature a biblical devotional lesson so be sure to bring your Bibles.

Be sure to bring: flashlight, bible, sports clothes, and all necessary camping gear(tent, sleeping bag, Air mattress if desired, etc)

Your activities may include: hiking, fishing, and biking. So bring you hiking shoes, fishing poles and bikes if so desired. 

Menu: 

Friday 

  • Dinner: bring your own. 

Saturday

  • Breakfast: Eggs, fruit, and bacon 

  • Lunch: Sandwiches and chips

  • Dinner: ground meat, rice, and green beans  

  • Snack: S’mores.

Sunday

  • Breakfast: Pancakes, fruit, and sausage

Since our marrieds are having their Sunday Service at the Marriage Retreat, all singles, campus students, and teens are gathering for our own Sunday worship!

It’s going to be an inspiring time with music, a lesson from God’s word, and encouraging fellowship.

Service will begin at 5:00 pm. But come early (3:30) if you’d like to enjoy some food, games & extra fellowship!

"REFRESH" - 2025 Virginia Marriage Retreat

Are you finding yourself with some glitches in your marriage? Maybe you aren’t quite in sync with your spouse and you aren’t sure how to recover… Join us for a time to hit “REFRESH” and get our marriage back to the place God intends it to be.

Chris & Meegan Zillman will be our guest speakers. They currently lead the church in Denver, CO and have been in the full time ministry for more than 26 years. They specialize in helping couples have strong marriages and families.

The cost is $40 per couple ($20 per individual). We have a maximum capacity of 500 people so reserve your spot today. Online Registration will end at midnight on Feb 16. At the door registration will be available for $60 per couple.

The event will take place at the Ft. Magruder Hotel by Wyndham in Williamsburg (6945 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185) Please call the hotel directly to get the special group rate ($104 per night - available Friday & Saturday night). To book your room follow the link below or call the Ft. Magruder Hotel at 757-220-2250 - mention HAMPTON ROADS CHURCH to get the discounted rate.

There will be Zoom links provided for all registered couples/ individuals for the Saturday classes. If you are unable to attend in person you can still register for the normal rate and watch the event online.

Join the entire Hampton Roads Church for our annual FLANNEL FEST outdoor worship service and potluck lunch!

Worship service starts at 11:00, immediately followed by a picnic potluck. Bring food to share, or just come hungry! All are invited.

We’ll also be taking donations of cold-weather gear. If you wish, bring hats, gloves, scarves, coats, jackets, or other clothing items to be given to our local men’s & women’s shelters.

Bring a lawn chair, too! Look forward to seeing you.
