Feed the 15k Cookout and John Surin Gets Baptized!

80+ people were in attendance at Friday's Cookout at ODU!After two weeks of incredible evangelism and a goal to reach 15,000 students in that time, the campus ministry ended their kick-off campaign with a cookout and a baptism! 80+ people were in attendance and the campus was able to bring out 35-45 of our friends to visit! John had been studying the Bible for the last few weeks andGod had been working powerfully in his life. As he sat looking at the water of the Whitehurst Beach at ODU, it hit him, "I Need to get baptized right now!" So there and then, surrounded by friends and now family, John Surin was baptized friday night. It was incredibly moving to see how God had been moving in John's life as well as his impact on his closest friends, many from ROTC. Welcome to the family John! And what a great begining to the school year, I can't wait to see what else God has in store for this year!
