1st Corinthians 10:14-22 ;11:17-34
Paul challenges the church in Corinth to flee from idolatry as they continued to casually mingle with the world. Paul helps them understand that there is no mixing with the world and with Jesus. We must choose one or the other. He upholds the imagery and sanctitiy of the Lord's Supper to illustrate how we are all connected through the body and blood of Jesus Christ, and to undermine that connection in any way, shape, or form is to engage in idolatry and stir the jealousy of God. Points to consider:
- We All Eat At One Table
- Are You Casual or Communal?
- The Church That Eats Together, Stays Together
